Labor Day Weekend

We’re rocking out as we enjoy the last days of summer 2017 and welcome the fall foliage season!

This Labor Day Weekend is full of events starting on Friday, Sept. 1.

Here are 5 events this weekend!

  • Fridays at the Lake
The final Fridays at the Lake concert of the year kicks off the weekend-long 2017 Adirondack Independence Music Festival.

Come to Shepard Park Friday night at 6 p.m. for Bella’s Bartok, Beau Sasser and Out on the Tiles, a tribute to Led Zeppelin followed by an after party at King Neptune’s Pub featuring the band Floodwood!

 Out on the Tiles will start Friday’s concert at Shepard Park at 6 p.m. Bella’s Bartok and Beau Sasser will follow. Admission to Fridays at the Lake is FREE! Festivities also include a food and wine tent and children’s activities. Stay through Labor Day Weekend for the Adirondack Independence Music Festival on Saturday and Sunday in Festival Commons at the Charles R. Wood Park as well as more music and an after party at King Neptune’s Pub!
  • Adirondack Independence Music Festival

The 3rd Annual Adirondack Independence Music Festival returns on September 2 and 3, 2017 This two-day multi-band event will feature several of the priemere touring bands currently hot on the festival circuit. There will be two stages and an additional late-night stage at King Neptune’s Pub. A great beer and wine, food and merchandise selection will also be available. Then burn off your energy at a huge adult obstacle course on site this year!


  • Fireworks in Lake George on Saturday

The Lake George Steamboat Company is sponsoring a fireworks show Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. You can view this show in southern Lake George or from their fireworks cruise. The Lake George Steamboat Company is also sponsoring Sunday night fireworks in the northern area of the lake that can be seen from their special fireworks cruise.

  • Labor Day Celebration in Bolton including Fireworks (UPDATE: Cancelled due to rain.)

Enjoy free admission to the Labor Day Celebration in Bolton Landing on Sunday, Sep. 3! The Master Cylinders will perform at 5 p.m. Fireworks will shoot off at 8 p.m. followed by Christmas Flotilla by Rogers Park Pier.

  • 12 Annual Lake George Triathlon

We’re so happy to have the Lake George Triathlon back in Lake George for the 12th year. This is an Olympic Distance Race – 0.9 mile swim, 24.8 mile bike and 6.2 mile run. The runs are 2-loop courses that are spectator and racer friendly. The athletes will finish with Lake George as their backdrop and then relax and enjoy some great post race food and hydration at Lake George Battlefield Park.
