The Lake George winter Carnival is back for its 58th year! Scroll down to view the schedules for upcoming weekends.
The Lake George Association declared Lake George officially “iced in” as of January 22, 2019, which means the entire lake is frozen.
This is the first time since 2017, the third time in the last five years, and the sixth time in last 10 years that all of Lake George has frozen.
Though we had a good amount of ice on the lake last year, there were still some areas that never totally froze.
If the ice conditions hold up, the events will be on the frozen lake again unless otherwise noted.
Every Saturday in February you can enjoy beautiful fireworks at 6 p.m. Plus there are FREE s’mores on the beach every Saturday in February starting at 4 p.m. in Shepard Park.
The hot chocolate bar — open from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturdays — is another favorite.
Events happening every weekend on both Saturdays and Sundays include:
- Bonfire on the Beach (all day
- Cornhole Games (noon)
- Children’s Activities including arts/crafts and games (Noon to 3 p.m.)
- Face painting ( Noon to 3 p.m.)
- Pony Rides (Noon to 3 p.m.)
- LG Dog’s Got Talent Contest ( 2 p.m.)
- Polar plunge ( 3 p.m.)
- Helicopter Rides
- Horse-draw carriage/sleigh rides
