Traffic advisory for Car Show
The Adirondack Nationals Car Show starts with early bird registration on Thursday!
The annual cruises through the village will take place Friday (Sept. 9) and Saturday (Sept. 10) from 5 to 9 p.m.
Village officials issued the following motorist alerts for both evenings:
- Access to the Village of Lake George will be limited from the south only on Route 9 and Exit 21. There will be no entry or exit except for emergency vehicles on the north end from or to Route 9 or Route 9N (Lakeshore Drive)
- Traffic southbound on Rt. 9 and Rt. 9N will be detoured at the north intersection of both roads. Motorists traveling south during the cruise should exit at Interstate 87 ramp southbound.
- Motorists coming north to the village should Exit 21 and use Birch Ave or Sewell Street. There will be no outlet to the north.
The cruise route:
The annual cruise will leave from the Fort William Henry and head to the intersection of Route 9 & Route 9N. There the route will make a U-turn and head south to Beach Road toward Million Dollar Beach and then turn north onto Canada Street and make a U-turn south of Lake Avenue. No cruising will take place in the Gateway construction area just south of the village.
Mayor Robert Blais advised that anyone who wants to come to the village should arrive before 3 p.m. and expect lengthy delays to the south and north.
Village parking regulations will be strictly enforced and extremely limited on all streets.
Warren County Sheriff’s Officers will assist in traffic control and be enforcing all vehicles and traffic regulations as well.
