Job description:
The Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB is seeking to fill the position of Executive Director at this ever popular year-round destination in upstate New York. The Executive Director is the chief executive and administrative officer of the Chamber/CVB. This individual is responsible for all aspects of Chamber activities including:

  • Employing, training and supervising five(5) full-time and 5-7 part-time associates.
  • Monitoring compliance with Board established goals, policies and procedures.
  • Develop member programs and organizational plans.
  • Represent the Chamber/CVB in governmental circles and in the media.
  • Draft, in conjunction with the finance committee, the Chamber’s annual revenue and expenditure budget.
  • Establish sound working relationships with external community groups.
  • Attend state and regional related meetings as needed.
  • Share in membership recruitment.
  • Maintain membership communication/contact particularly through one-on-one visits.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills a must. Grant writing a plus.

The Chamber is strongly positioned as “tourism focused” and as such the ideal candidate must possess strong Chamber and/or CVB experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality/Tourism or equivalent years of experience is preferred.
