Adirondack / Lake George Golfing

New visitors to the Lake George area are amazed by the number of golf courses available to them. As a matter of fact this area of the Adirondacks has more golf holes per capita than anywhere in the entire Northeast.

Within a fifteen mile radius of Lake George there are over fifteen public golf courses and amazingly 108 holes. Golfers who return to this area year after year know many of the local courses and have their own personal favorites.

The popularity of golf has caused hours of frustration for those who must wait for their tee times. Not so for this area. In fact, tee times are very reliable and play is typically fast. It is recommended that you make your tee time reservations in advance. Your accommodations host will be happy to assist in making arrangements for you.

Some courses offer a forgiving yet challenging round of play. Many courses have splendid views of the Adirondacks and are well maintained with plentiful trees which provide ample shade for those hot summer days. So there is a variety of options available.
