“Sounds of Our Time” – an innovative concert that will explore connections that cross musical genres. Featuring the Brooklyn-based experimental indie electronic band Balún. The concert will explore the connections of rhythm by having the Lake George Festival Symphony Orchestra open the concert with a performance of Paul Dooley’s groundbreaking Percussion Concerto, a co-comissioned work featuring solo percussionist Lisa Pegher. The full Lake George Music Festival Symphony Orchestra will present the grand finale performance of the 2017 summer season. Program to include Beethoven’s “Symphony No.7” and a world premiere performance of Sheridan Seyfried’s double violin concerto for brothers Nikki and Timmy Chooi. A pre-performance lecture/workshop will be held before the concert at 6:30pm by musicologist Christine Wisch and composer Sheridan Seyfried. FIREWORKS over Lake George immediately following the performance!
