LGRCC & CVB Standing Committees

The Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB identified three main goals for the future in its strategic plan: Increase revenue, grow the year-round economy and grow the Convention & Visitors Bureau. Each of these goals has a committee, and board members serve on at least two of these main committees. The following are meetings for subcommittees:

Events & Programs:

This group of chamber volunteers plan and host several special events throughout the year. Events range from chamber member/family outings to a major Annual Dinner in October. Events are a great place for networking with chamber members and the community. This committee also coordinates the hosting of educational, training or informational sessions. The committee also assists the board with exploration of major projects and value-added programs for our members.

Membership Value & Participation

This committee’s purpose is to provide a well-rounded membership package of chamber services for recruitment and retention of our members. The committee also steers the annual membership drive and assists with mixers and special events.

Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. (CVB)

This Division of the Chamber works in conjunction with our county tourism officials to highlight and promote the Lake George Region as a perfect setting for conferences, conventions, major festivals and events. Our committee and dedicated staff assist with Site Visits, hospitality services, marketing and promotional materials to help you “sell” attendance to your event. This committee also focuses on participating in national travel shows, co-operative marketing programs to benefit those chamber members who cater to large group markets. The CVB meets on the third Thursday of the month at 9 a.m. The meeting location rotates between CVB members. If you’re interested in attending a meeting, call the chamber office at (518) 668-5755.
