A chamber of commerce is only as strong as its membership. The collective voice of entire LGRCC membership can be more effective than a lone voice, especially with regional and statewide economic and planning issues that effect business and commerce. As a chamber of commerce we are always concerned with the economic health and welfare of our community. Building a strong and diverse membership demonstrates a strength and commitment to community.

by its nature our chamber of commerce is its own unique supportive community. Our membership communicates, celebrates and learns together for the benefit of all. But more than that, the LGRCC supports our greater Lake George community by hosting special events, providing excellent visitor services and serves as a resource for residents. Each activity we do supports our members and the community in some way. We look forward to having you get directly involved on one of our LGRCC committees and helping you to maximize your chamber membership.

Membership Committee:

Under the direction of our 1st VP and Director of Membership Sales, this committee’s purpose is to provide a well-rounded membership package of chamber services for recruitment and retention of its members. The committee runs a successful  Ambassador’s program. The committee also steers the annual membership drive and assists with Member mixers and special events.  Currently meets the first Wednesday of each month at 9:15 AM but please call ahead to verify date and time.

Events & Fundraising:

A fun-loving but hard working committee, this group of chamber volunteers plan and host several special events during the year. Events range from chamber member/family outings to a major Annual Dinner in September. Events are a great place for networking with chamber members and the community.  Currently meets the second Tuesday at 10AM--but please call ahead to verify date and time.

Advertising & Marketing Committee:

This dynamic committee is charged with ensuring that the message of all that our beautiful Lake George and the Adirondack region has to offer is communicated on the local, regional, statewide and national level. The committee works on the production of our Annual Guide Book, management of our Internet Services, visitor fulfillments/services and tourism marketing. Currently meets based on advertising campaign deadlines and seasonal promotions.  Please call our office for next meeting.

Program Committee:

Under the direction of the 2nd Vice President, this committee coordinates the hosting of educational, training or information sessions that have been identified by our other committees or membership as being beneficial. The committee also assists the board with exploration of major projects and value-added programs for our members.

Lake George Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. (CVB)

This Division of the Chamber works in conjunction with our county tourism  officials to highlight and promote the Lake George Region as a perfect setting for conferences, conventions, major festivals and events. With thousands of hotel rooms, a myriad of restaurants sure to please all tastes and budgets plus so much to see and do during your visit--we are a meeting planners dream come true. Our committee and dedicated staff assist with Site Visits, hospitality services, marketing and promotional materials to help you "sell" attendance to your event. This committee also focuses on participating in national travel shows, co-operative marketing programs to benefit those chamber members who cater to large group markets.  Currently meets on the third Thursday at 9 AM but please call to verify dates and times.

Governance Committee

Includes the oversight of the Chamber's By Laws, Property, Budget & Finance as well as is charged with recruitment and selection of potential candidates for service to the board of directors that would provide skills, knowledge and commitment of time that would help the LGRCC grow and prosper.  This committee meets on an as needed basis throughout the year.
